PS1/PSX Styled TTC Dundas Walking Simulator (Prototype)
Description last updated: September 2026
Public Docs Github Repo: (LINK) (more docs and snippets will be added as more docs are written from my backlog)
WebGL (Browser Build) BUILD NOTES
- Performance for this WebGL Build is heavily degraded compared to standalone windows build (There are also minor audio/visual glitches)
- Possible mouse look issues (though mostly fixed by altering internal .js file for WebGL build)
- For more stable performance (+ full shaders), use windows build
- Also note that mouse look in game requires your mouse be locked, this can be done by just ensuring you've clicked on the game (which should auto lock mouse to game)
- Defaults to 1080x720 resolution, use full screen if this is not adequate for your display
Controls
- WASD - Movement
- Right click (Hold) - Enables focus mode
- T - Switches player mode (Physical <-> Freecam)
- Tab (Windows Build Only) - Enables/Disables mouse lock
PSX TTC Walking Simulator (Prototype)
Overview
A Walking simulator set in a Dundas Station themed TTC station. Uses PSX styled graphics taken here (with heavy modifications to suit my needs (i.e in Unity lightmapping)) as the basis for the PSX styling plus additional post processing.
Mainly just a prototype to figure out a several things:
- Modelling/Texturing practice in a PS1 style
- Basic HLSL shader implementations
- Basic character system and movement in a XOPS styled fashion
It serves a secondary purpose of acting as a walkthrough of a typical TTC subway station platform along with various facts about the machinery and signage that TTC uses (through a "focus mode" if you hold down right click).
